So, let\u2019s take a quick run through and see what you can do to put your house\u2019s best face forward for its online debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting that curb appeal!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img  title=\"\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/perfectbalancephoto.goodgallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_0727-Edit-1024x683.jpg\"  alt=\"IMG_0727-Edit-1024x683 Getting Your Home Photo Ready - Gig Harbor, WA Real Estate Photographer\"  class=\"wp-image-35\"\/><figcaption>Check that curb appeal<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>First things first, check that curb appeal!&nbsp; The first image on a listing is typically the front of your home, therefore you will want to make it clean and inviting.&nbsp; After you have conquered the front, don&#8217;t forget to do the same in the back yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Trash and recycle bins out of site.<\/li><li>Garage doors closed and cars out of the driveway.<\/li><li>Roll up those hoses, or better yet, put them in\nthe shed.<\/li><li>Fill empty planters and flower beds with pops of\ncolor and texture with flowers and shrubs.<\/li><li>Mow the grass, trim the edges and clean up the\nleaves.<\/li><li>Clean the windows from any birds that might have\nleft you a surprise, or water spots from the sprinklers.<\/li><li>Make sure that there are no cobwebs, nails,\nhooks or holiday decorations visible.<\/li><li>Put all toys, sporting goods, basketball hoops,\nbicycles, etc. away and out of sight.<\/li><li>Clean off the screen\/storm door and hang a\nwreath or flag.<\/li><li>Sweep off the welcome mat and clear a path to\nthe front door.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entry do&#8217;s and don&#8217;t&#8217;s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img  title=\"\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.perfectbalancephoto.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/445A2616-683x1024.jpg\"  alt=\"445A2616-683x1024 Getting Your Home Photo Ready - Gig Harbor, WA Real Estate Photographer\"  class=\"wp-image-36\"\/><figcaption> Clean and organized entries set the flow for the rest of the home <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Does your home have an entryway or foyer?&nbsp; What do you want potential buyers to see when\nthey take the first steps in your home?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Depending on where you live, you might want to\nconsider a rug at the front entry for buyers to wipe their feet, which helps\nkeep your floors clean and show ready.<\/li><li>Make sure that the path from the front door to\nthe rest of the house is bright and open by clearing away clutter, shoes and keys\nfrom the space.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Living room ready for comfort<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img  title=\"\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/perfectbalancephoto.goodgallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/45A1624-1024x778.jpg\"  alt=\"45A1624-1024x778 Getting Your Home Photo Ready - Gig Harbor, WA Real Estate Photographer\"  class=\"wp-image-172\"\/><figcaption>Comfortable and inviting<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Onto the living and family rooms.&nbsp; You want buyers to feel comfortable, eager to\nenvision themselves sitting down with their family, watching a movie or reading\na book on the couch. A few things can put them in just that frame of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Remove anything personal, including family\npictures, religious items, sports memorabilia or Fido\u2019s favorite dog bed.<\/li><li>Declutter that fireplace mantle and hearth,\nleaving no more than five items including generic artwork.<\/li><li>Clean out the interior of the fireplace and\nstage for a fire if it is wood burning, or if it is gas, make sure that it will\nignite.&nbsp; Lit fireplaces look warm and\ninviting.<\/li><li>Vacuum the couch, chairs and pillows to get the\npet hair and dust off, because they will show up in your photos.<\/li><li>Fluff the pillows and arrange them so they stand\ntall on the couch and the tags are hidden.<\/li><li>Remove kids\u2019 toys from the area and put in their\nroom.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dining room staging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img  title=\"\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/perfectbalancephoto.goodgallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/45A1604-Edit-1024x683.jpg\"  alt=\"45A1604-Edit-1024x683 Getting Your Home Photo Ready - Gig Harbor, WA Real Estate Photographer\"  class=\"wp-image-257\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>How about that dining room?&nbsp;\nThis is a quick and easy room that can have high impact on folks who\nentertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>First, clear off the table, dust and polish if it is wood.&nbsp; <\/li><li>If the table has a leaf in it, remove it to make the space look bigger.<\/li><li>Straighten and space the chairs evenly apart from each other and the table.<\/li><li>Set the table with place mats, a dinner setting, clean silverware and sparkling glasses.&nbsp; Go for that decorative look you see in restaurants and model homes.<\/li><li>Remove all booster chairs and child seats from the room.&nbsp; You can put them back when the photos are done, and you are not having a showing.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The kitchen, the heart and soul of the home.
